James and Drucella enjoyed more than three decades of marriage and the sharing of their lives with many young lives including that of their own eight children. In addition, God blessed their lives with a quiver full of grandchildren.

In 1988, in Rockdale, Texas, James and Drucella were ordained in the Abundant Life Ministries. In the years following, the couple and their four youngest children served in local churches, traveled and ministered the Gospel to others, and eventually established an independent outreach ministry, Safe Harbor. Today, that ministry continues to evolve, as children have grown and left home, establishing their own families and ways to serve the Lord. On October 24, 2013 at 5:30 am, the Lord called Drucella home to be with Him. James continues to minister to his friends and neighbors in central Florida.

Drucella enjoyed a career as Director of the Academic Center for Enrichment  and a professor of English  at Southeastern University in Florida. Drucella had a special heart for calling women to evangelize in their own homes first through the power of prayer and the Word. In today’s world, the title of her women’s ministry does not fit with cultural and political norms (Women on your Knees), it is a heart-cry for women to invoke prayer for their families, their communities, and their world to see the prophetic words of Luke 1:17 come to pass: “to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord” (KJV).
